‘Personality and Individual Differences’ with Sindhuja Sankaran and the team!

A new paper in “Personality and Individual Differences”! Sindhuja Sankaran and colleagues published paper on the role of need for closure (NFC) and situational appraisals in creative performance. They showed that high NFC individuals would show reduced creativity due to the distress caused by the uncertain nature of the task regardless of whether the task is appraised as a challenge or threat. Low NFC individuals on the other hand adapt to the situational appraisal, that is, are more creative in a challenge state and less creative in a threat state.
