Last Tuesday during the lab group meeting Gabriela Czarnek presented the results from her studies on the moderating impacy of effort engagement on stereotyping in older age. The presentation made us think about both cognitive and motivational aspects of social perception. Gabriela’s research utilized blood pressure measurement and therefore offers an interesting insight into the important mechanism of stereotyping. We discussed methodological problems and possible directions of the future studies on that subject.
