The objective of the project is to investigate differences between grandiose (exhibitionistic) and vulnerable (hypersensitive) types of narcissism. It is hypothesized that the two types relate differentially to self-focus and chronic self-awareness levels, have divergent impact on affect and social and interpersonal functioning in terms of popularity and centrality in social groups. The research aims at contributing to the mutual international effort of disentangling and delineating the two concepts of grandiose and vulnerable narcissism in order to cast more light on the phenomenon of narcissism.
