How religious fundamentalism works on the level of basic, neural reactions? – researchers from our Centre together with collaborators shed some light on this complex problem. In the EEG study they found that among people intolerant to uncertainty (those with high need for closure) religious fundamentalism was related to intense reaction to cognitive conflict.
